Hello! I am trying to mix the audio on a passage before I export the project. There is a section with a ritardando, and I need to drop the volume for the students who were unsuccessful with keeping the beat. I did not create the passage until after all the recordings were done, when I noticed the issue.
When I tell the mixing screen that I want to mix a passage and select the passage, all of the videos disappear from the mixing list, except for one student whose video has a star in the upper right hand corner, and also happens to show up in every single group. However, he is the only student who gets the ritardando correct, so I don't need to adjust him! I don't know how he got the star, why he always shows up, and how to get the audio to mix for the rest of the tracks in just that passage. Help!

Hello,
Recordings are saved to the Passage in which the recording was made. If students did not record in the Passage, their videos will not display when the Passage is selected. Because you did not create the Passage until after the students had already recorded, this is why videos are not displaying on the Mixing screen when the Passage is selected. Only videos recorded to the particular Passage OR recordings created in Reference Mode will display when a Passage is selected.
Videos and Mixing IDs with a star denote a Reference Track recording. The student with the star made their recording in Reference Mode. As explained above, Reference Mode recordings will appear across all groups and Passages, which is why this student shows up in all your recording views.
Please let me know if there was any aspect of your question which I have not answered.

OK. Thank you! I suppose the answer is go ahead and do the export, then mix with the original track and lower the volume for everyone during the ritardando using a video editor. Have a good day.
