I am confused and am hoping someone can provide me an easy resolution... I created a project for my large string ensemble... I created parts(Violin 1a, Violin 2a etc) I used the administrate tab and manually entered in all of the student emails and assigned them one of these parts from above. None of my student have access to the project... what am I missing? They are all going to use reference mode to submit their video as I have a click track uploaded for them. Any advice for this newbie?

Hello, Assigning groups will not share projects with your collaborators; Assigning Groups simply restricts collaborators to groups. You will need to share the project in order for your collaborators to see the projects you have shared. Additionally, if you are using the full version, you will need to give them licensing to use the full version: Here is a tutorial on how to give licensing to your collaborators (you will need to do this first if you are using the full version): video; text
Here is a tutorial on how to share projects with collaborators:: video; textAdditionally, I want to clarify that 'Assign Groups' is for assigning students to Groups, not parts. Groups are a set of collaborators that will work together. So, if, for example, you would like vln I, vln II, viola, and cello parts to work together and listen to one another, you would likely be assigning one vln I collaborator to 'Group1' and one vln II collaborator to 'Group1', one vla collaborator to 'Group1', and one cello collaborator to 'Group1'. If, on the other hand, you would like the violin Is to only play with one another and NOT any other part, in THAT case you could assign all vln I parts to 'Group1'. Additionally, please know that recordings made in Reference Mode appear throughout modes and throughout groups. Therefore, if you have more than one group working in a project, they should plan to record in Collaboration Mode. If they record in Reference Mode, they will over-write each other's recordings. If they record in Collaboration Mode in their assigned group, they will record only to their own group and will not over-write other's recordings. Here is the tutorial for Assign Groups part I (on how to do it, and how to use the feature): video; text
Here is the tutorial for Assign Groups part II (on what it looks like from a collaborator's perspective):: video; text

So if I am understanding correctly, the groups are created when I use the administrate tab and assign in groups?

Hello,
Yes. Groups are created in 'Administrate'. For all intents and purposes, a group does not exist unless a collaborator is assigned to it.

Thank you! And in collaboration mode, can they still hear the click track that I placed on there?

Hello,
Yes, all project details set up at project creation apply to the entire project, and are not specific to a single mode. This includes the metronome and any uploaded click tracks. These are audible across all modes, including Collaboration mode.
