I have a student getting a new error message not covered in the Tutorials. He is trying to calibrate but both the audio and video drop down menus are blank when he opens them. He is using headphones with a build in headset microphone. When he clicks the button to calculate latency this message appears.
"The recording device seems to already be in use. You may need to grant your browser access to your recording devices at the operating system level."
I have other students that have used headset microphones and they have worked. He is trying in some different things right now but I wonder if you have any ideas what might be going on here in the meantime.

Hello,
This error occurs when CL cannot access the camera and/or microphone.
Error messages included on the troubleshooting page are included on the troubleshooting page when the error is ambiguous or there may be multiple solutions to the problem. This error is not on the troubleshooting page because the error explains what the problem is, and also tells the user what to do.
You should try doing the things the error message suggests: check to see if the camera and/microphone are already in use. Give permission to the camera/microphone at the operating system level.
If these things do not solve the problem, there is a problem with the hardware or the hardware is incompatible. Please troubleshoot your system administrator.
