I have a student who when using his mac, the sound quality sounds underwater, but when he uses a laptop the sound is okay. He's using Chrome and a blue yeti microphone. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi Dan, Unfortunately, apart from the selection of the microphone, Cyborg Llama does not have audio settings. You might want to ask this question on a general audio forum or audio/mac forum since this issue falls outside of the realm of our expertise; it would be more expedient for you to seek advice from experts in the general computer audio arena first. They will be likely to able to easily help you troubleshoot a possible problem with the browser, hardware, system settings, etc that causes recorded sound to sound "underwater" when recording in-browser. If the audio forum leads you through an investigation that yields a conclusion that CL is in fact the root cause of the problem, please reply and we'll get to the bottom of it. HERE is a general computer audio forum recommendation that seems to answer similar questions to yours. Additionally, after a brief Google search for "underwater" blue yeti recorded audio, I came across THIS. You can start reading under the heading "My Blue Yeti Sounds Bad". The list goes through several possibilities for the Blue Yeti producing "underwater"-sounding recorded audio.
