When I try to record over a previously saved track in collaboration, I still hear the old audio. How do I fully erase the previous take so I can add a "clean" new take?

Hello,
Once you record over a track, the new track replaces the old. The old audio should not be present. Since you ARE still hearing the old track's audio, the old audio has most likely somehow 'bled' onto another, still current, recording.
For troubleshooting: 1) "Solo" each part individually (check "Solo" button; when you're done checking that part, turn "Solo" off on that part and turn "Solo" on for the next part); 2) play through the part; 3) check to make sure you only hear the one "solo-ed" part.
Sound bleed can happen for many reasons and can be addressed in many different ways. The easiest first step is to try turning down speaker volume while recording, or, if possible, move headphones further away from the microphone.
