Adding Audio Seperately

Let me make sure I understand:

• 1) Your band will record using "Assign Groups" (is this what you mean by 'put their performances together by section?)

• 2) You would like the click track to be recorded outside of Cyborg Llama using pro-recording mics, and you're wondering if the this click track can be included as a "backing track" in the final export?

If so, yes, it is possible to use the click track as more of a backing track feature, and include this audio along with the other musicians' performances at export. Simply upload the audio-only file you record separately at the time of project creation by selecting "Use a Click-Track", and then checking "Include in Export" underneath the metronome icon in the upper right hand corner of the record page.  I am including a screenshot below of what the interface looks like (I am sorry about the image size; if you click on the image you'll be able to see it bigger):
